Mission Statement

 

Senior Programs of the Madison-Mayodan Recreation Department strives to provide resources and activities to aid seniors, aged 55 or better, maintain an independent lifestyle and remain involved in the community. Services focus on programs to enhance the lives of the area's aging population by providing information, opportunity for physical and mental exercise, fun and fellowship.

 

Information and Assistance

 

A large variety of information is available on many topics including caregiving, Social Security, Medicare, Hospice, Elder Abuse, Elder Law and much more. If we don't have answers to your questions, we'll make sure you are in touch with someone who does!

Fitness

 

Revive        9-10 a.m.        Tues/Thurs    $3/class

Toning, stretching, low-impact aerobics

 

Chair Aerobics    11 a.m. - Noon    Tues/Thurs    $3/class

For those with less mobility and balance

 

Evening Aerobics    6-7 p.m.    Tues/Thurs    $3/class

Instructor: Jona East

Movement can be adjusted for low or high impact aerobics

 

Line Dancing

M-M Fellowship Choir    9-11 a.m.    Wednesdays    September - Easter

Free for all adults, small music fee requested.

No audition required!

 

Red Hot M&M Fireballs   1:30 p.m.    Last Thursday of the month

Red Hat Society Chapter meets for fun and frolicking! Most meetings are at the center with occasional field trips.

 

 

Travelin' Seniors    6-7:30 p.m.    Third Thursday    Covered Dish, Fun Program
